I am a DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) Independent Fellow working at the intersection of population ecology, macroecology, and global change.
The core of my research program aims at understanding and forecasting the effect of climate on populations. My focus on long-term data, and data synthesis studies, lead to a side interest and involvement with database design and curation.
I work at the at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) of Halle-Jena-Leipzig, in the Spatial Interaction Ecology Research Group lead by Tiffany Knight, and I am affiliated with Martin Luther University at Halle-Wittenberg. My previous collaborators were Tom Miller (Rice University), Peter Adler (Ph.D. advisor, Utah State University ), and Charlie Halpern (MS advisor, University of Washington).
